9:13 pm - You know my name
Scrimmage was good. Bond was good. I'm not sure which one is better although I'm slightly leaning toward Bond because scrimmage does not have a cool gun and scrimmage does not jump around buildings and beat people up.

On the other hand, I am poised to not finish my homework. Yay! And Wikipedia has 642 featured pictures!

Also American Pastoral is a really good book. Also I need sleep.

Outcast Genius

73 % Nerd, 52% Geek, 65% Dork

For The Record:

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.

A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.

A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.

You scored better than half in all three, earning you the title of: Outcast Genius.

Outcast geniuses usually are bright enough to understand what society wants of them, and they just don't care! They are highly intelligent and passionate about the things they know are *truly* important in the world. Typically, this does not include sports, cars or make-up, but it can on occassion (and if it does then they know more than all of their friends combined in that subject).

Outcast geniuses can be very lonely, due to their being outcast from most normal groups and too smart for the room among many other types of dorks and geeks, but they can also be the types to eventually rule the world, ala Bill Gates, the prototypical Outcast Genius.

Congratulations!

I remember doing the photo caption thing when the Goblet of Fire was coming out. So, now for Eragon, which early reviews claim is terrible.

Oh, such a gorgeous, exuberant movie. I don't *squee* often, but I did in my head.

In other news, I suddenly contracted a fever, headache, and sore throat yesterday and promptly fell asleep at 8. I haven't fallen asleep at 8 in years. The fever's gone today, but my throat feels like there's a sharp object lodged in it.

The Silence of the Lambs: Acting was excellent. Plot seemed slightly contrived with all the magical clues and whatnot. Still a good movie.

Which Biological Molecule Are You?

You are starch. You are rigid, opinionated, hard-willed and not too friendly about it. You keep people out of places, or you keep them in, and without you a lot of things would collapse. hopefully you'll never have the authority to burn people at the stake. Sir. Ma'am.

So, I saw something like half of The Godfather and all of The Godfather II last night. Went from 7 PM to 1 AM. Loved the second one. Wanted to see the first half of the first to thoroughly understand the first.

I listened to all 86 tracks of the 2000-2001 acadec music. All of the cult exorcisms, old women going insane, hyena howls, and neurotic man banging on trash bottles. There must be an award for listening to all of that.

I also started reading Beloved...poor cows. And...Sethe has a tree growing out of her back? Wha?

11:27 pm - The following post brought to you by streams of consciousness
So my dad is like, don't post here anymore, and I was like, ok. I am no longer so terribly attracted to LJ. I supposed I have transcended above the mundane desires of life. One of them anyway. I like lurking better anyway. Gives you an air of superiority to read other's thoughts and not having to expose your own. Something like that. Life is awfully boring anyway, so I read about other's random exploits to increase the entropy of my own life. If I have too little entropy I may die. And you do not want to read about my entropy-decreasing activities because you may die too. So I shall cease most posting until something really entropic happens.

This is the all conclusive acadec post.

First off, a batch of icons.

Had these for a while nowCollapse )

I don't think there's anything that should be said here that haven't been said already. Acadec was an experience, in lack of a better word, but what can I say? If acadec comes to mind while I lie on my deathbed I must have had a thoroughly miserable and unremarkable life. Sometimes it was fun, other times not so much...but in the end scantrons and mountain-high study materials are so very transient. There have been a great many things that occurred this year, and personally, I can't wait for what's up ahead.

This is unbelievable idiotic. I just got home after my parents bought a brand new Cadillac, so I shall be off doing homework in vain. Summary of the month tomorrow, probably.

Edit: And, oh yes, a new profile. Some will find it strangely familiar.
